Don’t be anxious about anything!

The Word of God is still very applicable to our lives today just as it was then. As you see the Apostle Paul wrote do not be anxious about anything but to bring them to God in prayer. Another words friends it doesn’t matter how big or how small it is take it to the Lord in prayer. Our Heavenly Father wants to be taken into all the secrets and longings and desires of our heart. He wants no desire hidden from Him, but every desire turned into a prayer. Have a wonderful day in His presence.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” ~Philippians 4:6

They are asking the right question of course they are usually asking Him why is happening to them instead of why didn’t I seek you first. God will never get mad if we come to Him about little issues. Remember God desires a deep intimate relationship with you. He desires those who seek Him. Friends when you make your requests known to God, ask believing He will answer your prayers. ~ Matthew 21:22

In addition you notice it says with thanksgiving. This means thankful. So when we bring these requests to God not only should be all things to Him, but we should thank Him. Thank Him, knowing that He has answered your prayer. Remember God knows our deepest need. Despite how things may seem at the time God has everything in control.

Friends, I encourage you as you walk with God to tell Him about your day. Let Him know about all that troubles, big and small. Believe me He loves you~ John 3:16 and He will meet your every need, just seek Him first~ Matthew 6:33. Take the time to get to know the Master. Get deep in His Word and grow in Him. Don’t conform yourself to this world, but instead identify yourself with the standard, Jesus Christ.

God is the only One who can Guide us!

God is looking for us to put our hope and trust in Him today, ALL day long, not just tomorrow or when we are in need of Him. He’s challenging us to see all the moments of our lives as being filled with meaning. Each moment is filled with the presence of God, but sometimes we are so stuck on vision and dreams that we skim right by them. I encourage you to start your days differently. Start each day by praying, asking God to give you a clear understanding of each moment. It’s okay to still plan and dream about the future, of course, but concentrate more on each moment, as well!

“Show me the right path O Lord, point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me. for you are the God who saves me, All day long I put my hope in you.” ~~Psalm 25:4-5

God is the only one who can guide us. We must seek His guidance and direction in all things. In other words when we need guidance in our lives we should say God show me Your way in how I should approach this. Too often we we want to take our approach to how we should handle a situation and then want God to fix our mess. Doesn’t that just seem a little backwards? Now granted we may get in situations and need His help, but first and foremost we need to be seeking His guidance, His directions.

I encourage you let the Lord be your guide in all that you do. He will never lead you astray and will always be with you every step of the way. Be encouraged to know even when the journey gets rough that He will provide comfort even in those times. In fact I love how the Apostle Paul put it the joy we can even find in our suffering( Colossians 1:24 ). Not that we look forward to getting hurt, but that we endure for Christ’s sake. This pain is for God’s glory despite how difficult it may seem, it works for our good. Once again my brothers and sisters be encouraged and seek God for His guidance.

Carrying Others Burdens!

This message is about Carrying Others Burdens! We need to ask the Lord to fill our hearts with His love and compassion, and to help us to do more than speak of love, but to all allow His love to multiply in our lives and touch others. And to ask Him to forgive us for turning the other way, and neglecting to share the mercy, and love we have so freely been given, but instead to a make a difference in someone’s life today. Have a wonderful day making a difference in someone’s live.

“Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ.”~ Galatians 6:2 Image
Genuine love comes from God. We don’t have the ability to show the level of compassion, love, and mercy of God to the world, unless we receive it from Him; the kind of love that will reach out to the lost, feed and clothe the poor, and understand and show compassion, to those who are hurting physically and emotionally.
There are millions who are lonely and feel ostracized from society, all because of a lack of love and understanding, and through Christ, we have the ability to make a difference. We are ambassadors for Christ, and His hands extended towards the hurting, outcasts, sick, and oppressed of the world. When we simply talk of love, it is easily and quickly forgotten. When love is demonstrated, it makes an everlasting impression.
Fill our hearts Lord, with your love and compassion. Help us to do more than speak of love, but allow Your love to multiply in our lives and touch others. Forgive us for turning the other way, and neglecting to share the mercy, and love we have so freely been given. Make a difference in someone’s life through us today. Amen.

He is our joy and our strength!

Honor and majesty are (found) in His presence; strength and joy are (found) in His sanctuary.  ~ 1 Chronicles 16:27

Emotional trauma drains people of their energy.  But the Word of God say, “Be not grieved and depressed, for the joy of the Lord is your strength and stronghold” ~ Nehemiah 8:10.  The devil wants to steal your joy because he knows that joy is your strength.  He wants you to be weak so that you won’t resist the turmoil he sets against you.  That is why sometimes we need each other.  We need to ask others to pray for us as well as go to God for His help too.  Some days God will send messengers to build you up in faith and renew your joy.  Some day He will send you to someone else who is in a weakened condition because the enemy has been pounding on them.  Be someone’s friend today.  Shine Jesus’ light into another person’s life.  They may need a friend to stand beside them and encourage them and to lift them up and pray for them.

God’s Faithfulness

This I recall to mind, therefore I have hope. The Lord’s lovingkindness indeed never ceases, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:21-23)

Whenever we are facing difficult circumstances, and wonder, “Where is God?” one of the first things we should do is to look in the rearview mirror of our lives. What we will see will undoubtedly give us strength for today and hope for tomorrow. What we will see is God’s faithfulness throughout our lives. We will see how He has loved us, redeemed us, forgiven us, and given us new and eternal life (see 1 John 2:25, 5:11). We will see how He has brought us through past struggles, provided for our needs, woke us up this morning, and how He continues to cover us with His love throughout the day.

As you think about all that you’re going through, or wonder how you’ll be able to pick up the pieces of your life and move forward, don’t be discouraged. God was faithful yesterday, He is faithful today, and He will be faithful tomorrow. God never changes (see Hebrews 13:8). You can always depend on Him.

Think about it. What past challenges has God brought you through? Has He healed your hurting heart? Or weakened body? Has He ever delivered you from fear, worry, anger, or despair? Have you ever experienced His peace, joy, or strength? Has He ever forgiven you, blessed you, or provided for you? As you recall God’s faithfulness to help you in the past, know that you can trust Him to be faithful now and in the future. “Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God, is the faithful God, who for a thousand generations keeps His promises and constantly loves those who love Him and who obey His commandments …” (Deuteronomy 7:9). He will not fail you!

Communication is a key in our relationship with God!

Communication is a key part of any relationship. Without proper communication, a relationship will slowly drift apart and feel isolated. This is true of friends and married couples, and certainly true in our relationship with God. Without communication, we begin to drift and will soon be unable to even recognize His voice. When faced with sudden burdens we will feel alone. We may awkwardly call out to God but find our communication line has become noisy, filled with distractions. It’s difficult to receive direction or comfort when we can’t even hear or understand what God is saying.

“One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God. When morning came, He called His disciples to Him and chose twelve of them, whom He also designated apostles.” Luke 6:12-13

To keep the communication lines clear, we must develop the habit of continually talking with God; “Pray continually” (1 Thessalonians 5:17). We cannot limit prayer to those times of great need. David was in the habit of morning prayer; “In the morning, O Lord, You hear my voice; in the morning I lay my request before You and wait in expectation” (Psalm 5:3). But we must also learn to talk with God throughout our day so we are prepared for those times of extra need.

Jesus never suffered from a breakdown in communication with His Father; “I and the Father are one” (John 10:30). And yet, when faced with major decisions or burdens, Jesus still set aside special time to talk with God.

There are always going to be times in our Christian walk when we urgently need dedicated time with God – times which involve “critical” or “crisis” situations. These times are greatly enhanced if we have already been walking in daily communion with the Father. Our “crisis” prayers will need to be more intense and require us to intimately know the One to whom we pray – require us to know His voice and understand His ultimate plan for our life.

Our Heavenly Father desires to light our path by giving daily guidance. Let’s develop the habit of continual prayer so we will follow His leading and walk each step in praise. Let’s KNOW Him during the trivial and mundane portion of our day so we will be prepared to know Him during the urgent. Let’s prioritize our life to ensure we have a free and clear line of communication.

May God hear us as we pray…✟

We lift up families to You O Lord. This day I have seen the hurt that so many are experiencing. Families that are filled with hurtful words that leave scars. Families where the members are so overwhelmed by stress and grief that they can see nothing but pain. Families that are filled within the world dysfunction from many causes. Families where one spouse turns their back and leaves a home broken and hearts ripped apart by confusion and pain. We see families riddled with addiction…families falling apart because God is not the center of the home..families in despair because of death, disease and disability. Families falling apart because of the stress of special children…Lord, the list is endless.

I just ask in Jesus Name for deliverance Lord. I ask in Jesus Name for Satan to be bound and families to be reclaimed. I pray for healing, emotionally, physically, spiritually, mentally and financially. I pray for Your Holy Spirit to breathe a mighty wave of revival and for people to come to a saving knowledge of Who You are and to make you the head of their homes. I pray for parents to love their kids with unconditional love and to build their children up with positive and affirming words. May they train their children in your ways Lord. Father, for all the kids that are being bullied whether at home or school we pray for safe havens for them and for help and deliverance from their tormentors.

Lord, for the marriages that are struggling…we ask for Divine Intervention. We pray for peace and restoration. We pray for kindness …for the golden rule to be remembered in homes…to treat others as we would want to be treated and to love each other as we love ourselves…let each mate love as unto the Lord.

We pray for those who have difficult family members who refuse to change their ways, their hurtful words and actions. We ask that you teach each person reading this how to set up firm, healthy boundaries. Lord, You did not call us to be anyone’s verbal, emotional or physical punching bags… show each person how to respect themselves and those around them.. For those who have lost their families to death or some other cause, we ask that no person would ever feel alone in this world again. I pray that you would help people to rise up and stand in the gap and be one in the body of Christ and reach out in that bond of fellowship that comes from being in your family. Help your church to step up and help each other more than ever Lord. Help us see the needs of those around…the lonely..the parent less, the childless, the divorced and the widowed..and let us love as Christ loved and let us change this world by fanning a flame of hope for those who need to feel loved.

Lord, we know in the end times that there will be division as you separate the wheat from the chaff and that can be painful as we watch those we love turn their backs on you and many are walking away from their families. For the families that have already fallen victim we ask for healing Lord. We ask for strength. We ask that you will step in and be the head of the household where single mom’s reside and we pray you will be the Father to the fatherless and the husband to the widowed and divorced. Please provide for the men as well Lord. They are not exempt from any of these things either. Lord, please be the provider for each and every household and person that is reading this.

We want to take back what the enemy is trying to steal from us. Let us find our moral compass. Help us to guide our youth in the truth of your word and your ways. Help us not to shrink back in fear and think “it’s too late” or “what can we do?” Let us remember our power in you and our heritage as your children….Lord, bring healing in every area as only you can and meet every need, spoken and unspoken we pray.

In Jesus Name…Amen

“God is able”

This message is about how “God is able” This has to be one of the best and most accurate phrases in the Bible. But this time, it’s said about his work in you in me. He is able to do much more than we imagine to work through and in us. What can we say to that? Hallelujah!

“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” ~Ephesians 3:20

Life can be overwhelming at times. Given the perplexity of the times in which we now live, that statement has more relevance than ever before. Perhaps you have had, or you are currently facing a perplexing situation. Just this week, I have spoken with two people who are battling with this type of issue. They didn’t know how their situation was going to be corrected or when it would end. Whenever life hands us a problem that seems to be out of our power or control, we can simply turn to the Lord. At first glance that statement might seem like a clique’. However, throughout the Word of God, we are instructed to turn to Him when we are faced with various trials and troubling (hard to understand) problems. When we turn to the Lord in a trying season, it teaches us to rely on the strength of God. This is a good thing, because the fall of man has caused humans to become self-sufficient or self-reliant. Whenever we are faced with complex and long-term ordeals, if we will seek the Lord for solutions, He will open the realm of possibilities for an answer.  The Lord invites us to bring our cares, burdens, and concerns to Him in prayer so that He will be able empower us to confront our fears and defeat our enemy (Satan) through faith. As we seek the Lord in faith, we are also allowing the Lord’s wisdom an opportunity to be released to assist us in our understanding. Until we open ourselves up to Godly understanding and allow His wisdom to be released to us, self-sufficiency can cause us to see only one way of “unraveling our ball of yarn.” If you’re faced with a situation that seems to grow more difficult each day, then drop to your knees and begin to seek God’s wisdom and understanding. He will direct your path out of the fog and confusion.

Peace I leave with You!

“Peace I leave with You, My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” John 14:27

Jesus told His followers that after He returned to Heaven God the Father would send them the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, who would teach them all things and remind them of everything Jesus had said. He knew that His followers would need a Helper, an Encourager and a Comforter to keep them sharp in their faith and to fill them with this peace. He knew that they, and eventually us, you and I, would need to be reminded of the things Jesus taught and of the peace that He has for us. He gives us one instruction as He promises this peace. He tells us, “Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” “Do not let ….” Here again it sounds like we have a choice to make … and we do. We can choose to ask the Holy Spirit to fill us with this peace and we can choose to remember all Jesus taught us about living in His strength. We choose. Faith and fear cannot occupy the same space nor can peace and turmoil occupy the same place in our hearts. So if you’re going through a difficult time in your life, run to the Lord and asked the Holy Spirit to fill you with peace. Then daily trade in the fear that comes to rob you and daily you will receive the peace that the world could not understand. People may even think you are in denial of your problem. But rather you are simply living in the promise of peace that has been given to each of us as Jesus’ followers. And the world cannot grasp this kind of peace. Today if peace is short in your heart and mind remember that it has been given to you by Jesus. His Holy Spirit is there to remind you and to teach you how to live in that peace. Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with it. When fear comes to nibble at your heart or rush through your door to trouble you – stop and remember that you can make a choice …. “Do not let your heart be troubled and do not be afraid.” Though the trouble may remain the peace of Jesus and the help of the Holy Spirit pouring peace over your heart, will carry you through.

Father God, Today we need the help of the Holy Spirit in allowing Your peace to fill our heart and soul and mind. May we not live in turmoil but choose to trade in our fear and our troubled heart for Your amazing peace and strength. It’s a gift we receive from You by the power of Your Holy Spirit. In the strong name of Jesus I pray, Amen.

Nothing Can Separate You from God’s Love!

“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death, nor live, neither angels or demons, neither our fears for today, nor our worries about tomorrow, not even the powers from hell can separate u from God. No power in the sky above or in the earth below, indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus.”~ Romans 8:38-39

Heavenly Father, I love the fact that NOTHING can separate us from Your love.  What a wonderful and amazing promise that You have given us!  I don’t think anyone on this earth could give us such a hefty promise.  We all have been abandoned in some form or another – whether it is literal abandonment or even emotional abandonment – it’s not a good feeling to be alone.  Lord, there are many people who feel alone right now – maybe their spouse had left or a relationship or friendship ended or maybe they’ve lost a loved one or that they’ve moved far away from friends/family.  Either way, being alone or at least feeling alone is probably one of the worst feelings in the world. So for You to promise that You’d NEVER leave us nor forsake us is a HUGE promise and we need to lean on that more than we do.  The perception of being alone is so very deceiving because it’s really that we’ve walked away vs. the other way around.  When we don’t feel God’s love or feel that He is far away – it’s not that He has left or turned away, but it is we that need to turn back to God.  He is exactly in the same place and will always be there with open arms and we need to seek His face when we feel alone.  Only God can fill that void – no other earthly thing can truly fulfill the emptiness in our hearts because all else is temporary. I pray that when we feel abandoned, that we turn to You for comfort and love.  That we stop chasing things of this world to fill that void temporarily because it will never be enough.  No amount of money, or a huge house, or a nice car, or a good job, or a relationship with a spouse or boyfriend/girlfriend will ever truly make us whole.  You’re the only One that can ‘complete us’. In Jesus name Amen!
