God’s Timing!

Peter asked Jesus why he couldn’t follow Him—why he couldn’t do what he wanted to do. But sometimes that waiting period is exactly what we need. Sometimes we can see why that waiting period is necessary, but sometimes we can’t, and that’s when we get impatient and try to run ahead of God. Peter asked, “Lord, why can’t I follow you now? I will lay down my life for you.” John 13:37

I know how hard and frustrating it can be wait on God’s timing, but we have to hold steady and wait for God to move first. Otherwise, the consequences of jumping the gun can be a pile of regrets.

Let me encourage you with this faith step: Are you impatient in a waiting period of your own? Pray to Jesus—be honest and vulnerable; lay it all out before Him. Ask Him to help you to wait and just trust in His timing.

Timing is so important! As you begin to understand God’s timing you’ll be better able to cooperate with Him. When you don’t know, learn to wait with confidence on the One who does. The problem most of us have is that we attempt to take the lead role in our relationship with God and it doesn’t work. God has that role, and He won’t give it to us! He gives instructions and we’re supposed to follow, even when we don’t like or understand the way He takes us. “Why does it take God so long to do things?” you ask. Because unanswered questions create trust. When you don’t know, you have to trust the One who does, and that keeps you growing in faith. God has a definite plan and time, and while He’s getting you ready He keeps you in His waiting room. If that’s where you are today, remember, it’s only as you reach new levels of maturity that God releases new levels of blessing into your life.

Wait on the Lord and be of Good Courage!

Good morning everyone I was awaken early this morning and God led me to the word WAITING it’s a very practical word since it deals with an issue we all struggle with. Every person reading this today has some unanswered prayers that you are waiting for God to answer. For some, it may be a prayer about finances, for others, it may be a prayer about healing, and for still others, it may be a prayer regarding your marriage, or for others like me it maybe a spouse. No matter what the specific need is, everyone who is reading these words today has something you are praying about and are waiting on God to answer. Have a wonderful day as you press into the Lord waiting on Him.

“Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!” ~ Psalm 27:14

The biggest mistake I see people make who are waiting on God for an answer is they start drifting away from God. Let me share with you today what you should be doing while you are waiting for God to answer you and something that I have done and will continue to do while I wait on God to answer any of my prayers. You press in even closer in the presence of the Lord! While you are waiting for God to respond, you keep praying every day, pray even more. While you are waiting on God to respond, you keep reading the Word, read even more.  WHILE YOU ARE WAITING ON GOD TO RESPOND YOU CONTINUE TO BE ABOUT YOUR FATHER’S BUSINESS, SINCE, AS YOU ARE ABOUT HIS BUSINESS HE WILL BE ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS!

God loves you so much. God cares about you and everything that goes on in your life. God is your hope and rock in the good times and bad. God hears your cries. God is able to meet every need you will ever have in this life. God’s timing is not our timing, but God is never too early or too late. Let me encourage you that whatever it is that you’re waiting on, pray about it. Do not from a position of worry, but from a position of trust. Affirm what you know to be true about God and what you’ve seen Him do in the past and encourage yourself by remembering how waiting on Him in the past worked out for you and others.

Waiting on God’s Perfect Timing!

We’re all waiting on God for some prayer to be answered, it may be a special blessing, for others a special person, or breakthrough today or a myriad of other things. No matter what you’re waiting for let me encourage you to remember that God’s delays are not His denials.

“’This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.” ~~ Habakkuk 2:3

We have to remember that God’s timing is different than our own. He sees things from a different perspective and sees the whole picture, not just what we want, but what is best for us in the grand plan for our lives, and at the right time. All is part of a divine order and will be done in its own right and proper time. Keep your faith and hope in God, believing that at just the right time, He will open doors for you. When He does, you will know without a doubt that it was worth the wait!

Lord, Grant us the patience we need to wait upon You for Your absolute best. Thank You that as we keep in step with Your plans for us, our blessings won’t be delayed a single day! In Jesus name. Amen!
Have a wonderful day as you wait on His perfect timing.

Don’t become a victim of God’s timing!

If you had been here, my brother would not have died.” Can’t you just hear the heartbreak, disappointment, and sorrow pouring from Martha’s heart? Why would Jesus do this to His dear friends? Why did He wait until Lazarus was dead and in the tomb for four days before making an appearance at the tomb? Didn’t Jesus realize the pain that He would cause to Lazarus’ family? Didn’t He care that they were hurting?

Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if only you had been here, my brother would not have died.” ~John 11:21

You have to be careful that you don’t entertain questions like the ones I posed to you today in this message. Although they may seem like legitimate ones, they are birthed out of a heart that is filled with hurt and that is giving doubt a place. There’s a fine line between hurt and allowing the enemy to gain access to your heart through doubt.

Are you looking to God for a breakthrough or miracle in your life, but it seems that God doesn’t care about your condition? Whenever we have an unmet need, and it appears as if it is going unnoticed by the Lord, then that is the time when we must be careful to guard our hearts against doubt and unbelief. If we entertain thoughts such as, “Miracles happen in other people’s lives, but not in mine.” Beware! The enemy is trying to use delayed blessings as a weapon against us to cast doubt in our hearts and make us feel isolated. Jeremiah tells us to place our hope in the Lord; and when we do, God will bless us. We will be like a tree planted by the waters. We won’t fear when heat or drought comes because our roots are in Him.

The purpose of today’s devotion is to help you guard your heart against becoming a “victim of God’s timing.” When it comes to God meeting our needs, we all have a time frame. Nevertheless, faith will still believe even though God doesn’t move in “our time.” We have been called to believe until the saving of the soul. We must not draw back in unbelief because it didn’t happen when we thought it should.

God is no respecter of persons. If He has healed others, then He will heal you as well. Don’t doubt; just hold on to your faith until the Lord moves on your behalf.
