Having Faith and Believing in God’s Promises!

Faith is either strengthening or weakening. And the difference between those is up to you. Faith is a very personal matter. Someone can have faith with you, but I’m not sure how anyone can have faith for you. Others can set an example for your faith, or even encourage your faith by their words and assurances, but faith is a personal experience and expression. Here’s what I have discovered. It gets harder and harder to believe a promise when delay and circumstances conspire to make you doubt the God who made the promise.

“Abraham never wavered in believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God.” ~~ Romans 4:20

That is why we need to ask the Lord to teach us to rely on His strength and to have the faith of Abraham. When we encounter “hopeless” situations, ask God to help us to keep our eyes on Him instead of on our circumstances. and to remind us not to wait for the manifestation of our miracle before we give Him thanks and praise. Then thank Him that we  follow Abraham’s example of faith, we will impact the lives of others and glorify Him!

How does this happen? How do we grow stronger through our faith? Since biblical faith isn’t just affirming things to be true of God, but also putting our trust fully in God, the more we trust God each and every day, the more we will grow stronger as people. Our strength grows when we rely upon the immeasurable strength of God. Thus when we face trials or hardships, we grow stronger through our faith because we learn to trust God more than we did before. Therefore, our strength, like that of Abraham, brings glory to God.

My prayer for you today is that God’s promises will remain sure and steadfast in your heart. Have a wonderful day spent in the presence of the Lord.

It’s Already Done!

“It’s already done.”  You may ask, “What’s already done?”  Let me explain further. For many, God made a promise to you. Promise of healing, promise of prosperity, promise of deliverance, promise of a spouse (Like me) and etc.

My friends, though sometimes we like to complain to God on why we don’t see anything manifesting, many times we’re the hindrance to our own deliverance and blessings. A persons doubt and unbelief can cause God’s promise for them to be hindered and/or delayed.  Why?  Because there is unbelief. God doesn’t operate with a person’s unbelief but rather their belief in His ability to do specifically what He said He would do. I want to let you know that just because you can’t see physically what’s happening in the spiritual realm doesn’t mean nothing is happening. This is where our continuous faith in the Lord takes place and is tested. Faith is the substance of things hope for in the evidence of things NOT SEEN. This scripture tells us that faith requires you to believe in what you do not see. This scripture also, in my opinion, lets us know that we can’t go based upon what our eyes do or do not see; though we may not see what’s happening physically right away, spiritually (by faith) it’s already done and it’s just awaiting for its appointed time by the Lord to happen physically. However, you become a hindrance to yourself when you start to doubt and second guess what God has told you.

Furthermore, when God tells you, “your healed” “your delivered” “your saved”  “your x,y,x” or “I will do x,y,z for you” know that at that very moment, it was done. You may say, “it doesn’t feel like it was done”, but my friends, know that our feelings are deceiving. If it was ok to go based upon how we felt, the Bible wouldn’t urge us to crucify our flesh daily.  There’s time when we may not feel saved, but we know it’s the devil at work. There’s time when we don’t feel like reading the Bible, but I read it because that’s the only way to know the Word of God. Don’t go based on how you feel, go based upon who made the promise. People come short, friends and family may not always fulfill their promises, but the word of the Lord never comes back to Him void and unaccomplished.

So when the enemy comes and feed you with doubt, rebuke that spirit and rebuke him in Jesus name and praise God all the more for the blessing He’s bringing your way. Continue to praise the Lord, even when you think nothing is happening –when it really is. Stand on the spoken word of God and on His promises and rest in Him knowing that unlike us, when God makes a promise, you can rest assure knowing it’s already done.
