“Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.” Philippians 3:12
In my quiet time today I was led to mediate on this passage and share it with all of you. Many times we become weary and feel beaten down, but we need to remember as followers in Whom we must place our trust. We need to continue to fall at Jesus’ feet, seek His strength, and ask for His wisdom and receive all that we need to fulfill what He have purposed.
Our journey in this life contains disappointments and obstacles. There are many times we may feel like giving up, and retreating. Through our every failure and disappointment, we find ourselves at the feet of our Savior, where He picks us up, reenergizes us, restores us and gives us the push we need to continue; only with a greater understanding, that we aren’t placing the outcome or our trust in our human resources, but trusting fully in His unlimited ability. Our human side finds it easy to complain, and resent the difficult circumstance, but our spirits gain an understanding of the greater eternal plan which God has purposed and will bring to completion in our lives.
