“You will keep in perfect peace, all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you” Isaiah 26:3
Often times, the devil tries to rob us of peace because he knows a mind in turmoil (chaos) cannot focus on God. In fact, a mind in turmoil can only worry and fret over the current circumstances. This is why the devil usually brings multiple stressors at once. I have found this true in my life. He has figured that it takes a lot to take my mind off the Lord and he attempts to add even more things at once to accomplish this. To his attempts, I quote today’s scripture in the name of the almighty God: You will keep in perfect peace, all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you.
We must not let unimportant things of this world cloud our minds. Even in trials, we must keep our mind on God and His will for our life. In this, we have had to let some things go mentally. We have had to take things that bother us, give them to the Lord, and move on! God will continue to teach us how to do this. It is not easy. However, if we do not learn how to do this we will spend all of our mental energy on things the devil devises.
God will anchor you in perfect, unwavering peace when your mind is focused solely on Him. When this happens, His Spirit will give you access to the mind of Christ, and all your conflicts can be resolved through His reasoning powers. You keep your mind focused on Christ through faith. This is how you know God. When you know Him, it’s easy to trust Him.
