We must ask in Faith without Doubting!

Isn’t it amazing that no matter how close to God we may feel, there will always be issues with doubt? Everyone of us battles doubt at one time or another. Why is it so hard to overcome? Satan knows that if we doubt God, then there is no place for our faith to work for us. Doubt is the opposite of faith! Doubt is a useless emotion that Satan loves to put it in our mind that we entertain doubt more than faith, and we question God’s promises. Our humanness often gets in the way of the supernatural! And, the supernatural requires “S T R E T C H I N G!!” Believing in those things that God can do and what we cannot do. We must ask in Faith without Doubting!

“But he must ask in faith without doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed around by the wind.” ~ James 1:6

My friends fears and doubt are a tool of the Enemy. Satan will often add his own words to increase your negative thinking. He reminds you of past mistakes and seemingly unanswered prayers. His age-old technique of questioning God’s direction makes you wonder if you truly know the Lord’s will. As the Father of Lies, Satan tries to twist the truth to serve his purposes.

When doubts surface, confess them as sin. Remember other times you trusted God and His faithfulness, and meditate on His promises. The Holy Spirit will guide you into truth so you can overcome your doubts. Doubt doesn’t fit who you are as born-again believer. You are His child and permanently adopted into His family, heirs, and co-heirs with His Son, Jesus. As believers, our character is defined when we walk in step with God.

Let me encourage you to not allow doubt to cripple your faith walk! When doubt fills your mind, you need to seek to deepen your personal relationship with Jesus, by spending more time with Him in prayer , and to your mind with God’s Holy Word and soon you’ll see your doubt began to weaken. Don’t allow Satan to use that old trick on you…. Just start from right now, and say, “Lord, help my unbelief!”
