God works for those who wait for Him!

Image

In order to grow as believers, you and I must learn to wait on the Lord. While waiting God to answer prayers to happen in our lives, there are a few things that we must do. First, I continually bring our request before Him in prayer. We also must surrender to His timing, and live our life as the Bible instructs by seeking the Lords kingdom first. If we are truly trying to die to ourselves and live for Christ daily, I know that we are in the will of God. This makes the process of waiting easier. When we do this God will suddenly show up in great way in our lives when we keep trusting Him and waiting for His perfect timing to make things happen. When we keep our focus on loving the Lord with all of our heart, soul, and strength He will lead us.

“For since the world began no ear has heard and no eye has seen a God like you, who works for those who wait for him! ~ Isaiah 64:4

God has a plan for each one of us and wants us to know what it is. Every time we take a step of obedience, He sheds more light on our path. But sometimes He asks us to pause awhile, and we may not know why. We long for direction in a particular matter, but our prayers just aren’t being answered, and we wonder, Why does He delay?

When you aren’t seeing any answers, it doesn’t mean that God is not working. He’s still actively involved in your life, but He works in ways that are not always visible He orchestrates circumstances, changes people’s hearts, and protects His children from making hasty decisions that will have disastrous consequences. Perhaps the Lord knows you’re not yet ready for the next leg of your spiritual journey. Waiting times are opportunities for growth in character, obedience, and faith. He may also need time to train you for future responsibilities and ministries.

When you intentionally choose to be still, God unleashes His mighty power on your behalf. My prayer is that we would learn to wait on His answer—and do it joyfully. Why? God’s Word says that He acts on behalf of those who trust in Him. No, He doesn’t promise to give us everything we want. But when you and I watch for His provision, it will come—every time.

Have a wonderful day in His presence. Please share this blog with others and I pray it will encourage them.  God bless you!

My Hope is in The Lord!

Image

I believe that the biggest problem we have in the world today is there are so many people who have lost hope. There seems to be so many hurts, problems, sicknesses, troubles, financial woes, family problems, world issues, political concerns, etc. It seems the world has no hope. Apart from God, it is an awful, hopeless place. But with God’s help, we can make it. I want you to know that whatever situation you find yourself in at this moment, there is hope. You may not be able to see or feel the hope, but it is there for you. How do we find the hope? There is only one place where hope can be found, and that is in Jesus Christ.

“I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” ~ Psalm 27:13

David found himself in situations many times and had to remind himself that Hope is Real. It comes from God. Trust God. He wants you to trust Him. You need to agree with God about your situation. What does God say about who you are and what His will is for your life? Don’t go by your feelings. Instead we should remind ourselves that God only has plans for us that are good. Jeremiah helps us remember what God has to say about us. “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

We do not need to be disappointed and feel alone. We can have hope! God’s love in our hearts will ignite the flames of hope we have buried deep inside our hearts. God’s Word can encourage us as we read it with great anticipation and faith.

I hope and pray this message brings life to you. Pray out loud the words of hope into your life and your situations. I have hope! My hope is in the Lord! I will be strong and wait on the Lord. I trust God with my life and the life of my family. Speak these words every day. Hope Is Real. It comes from God! He has placed it in your heart. Speak it out and watch what God will do for you.

Lord, I give my life to You; my God, I trust You!

Image

I love how I know can now see clearly the truth of Jesus’ teaching when we surrender, that His power comes. Surrender is not a point of weakness but of strength.. Throughout the Bible we read that when a person finally stops trying to do things their way or chooses to surrender their will to God’s, that God steps in with power and perfection of His way to bring about victory and great blessings on His children.

Image

Lord, I give my life to you; my God, I trust you…~ Psalm 25:12

Even Jesus. Yes, even Jesus wanted to be sure that we saw through His example that our weakness is not a sign of defeat but, in fact, the place where Satan had better run. Luke 22 graphically relates the humanness of Jesus as He cries out to God about what is to come. As the bloody sweat pours from His body, Jesus surrenders to God’s will. Jesus shows us that surrender may not come easily; it may not come initially with contentment but God is faithful to give me the courage and peace I need.

Sometimes “I trust You” is all that we can say. Sometimes what we are going through makes no sense and we cannot see how it will end, if ever, but just like David God asks the same of us, and this takes faith. We are choosing to take the only life we have and say, “Here, God, I know You gave me this life so I am giving it back, trusting that You have a plan for me. You know best and I trust You.” That is what David did. He gave his life to God and said, “I trust in you, my God.”All I know, based on my relationship with the Lord, is that I can trust Him. He has brought me through before and He will do it again.Today, do the same. Choose to trust God with your life. He created you and has a plan for your life. Trust Him.

Have a wonderful day as you choose to trust God with your life.

He shall cover you with His Feathers, and under His Wings you shall take Refuge!

I encourage you to read all of Psalm 91 everyday about God’s protection in the midst of danger and it gives us a wonderful picture of God’s protection for us. It is when things go wrong, when the good things do not happen, when our prayers seem to have been lost, that God is most present. We do not need the sheltering wings when things go smoothly. We are closest to God in the darkness, stumbling along blindly.’He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge. We’re totally safe when we are covered by Him, and He remains faithful to that word, and has done so throughout history, as long as His people remained faithful and walked with Him.

“He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge.” ~ Psalm 91:4

Life is filled with many uncertainties. You never know when something unexpected is going to happen. You have no idea when the next disaster will strike. In a world filled with hate and evil, none of us has a clue when the next horrible atrocity will take place.

So what do we do when we can’t be sure of our circumstances? We take shelter under the wing of the One who is above all circumstances! We take assurance in our Father who has promised to bring us to himself no matter what may happen today … in our world … and to our bodies. Our lives are hidden with our Father because we’ve been joined to Christ. He is our Refuge! His wings are our shelter!

My friends, see yourself under the wings of your Savior, who has promised you this in His Word: “He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge.” But our protection under God has to do with our obedience. Provided we walk in righteousness before Him we are covered. It is when we sin that we open up a hole in our covering and are liable to enemy attack. God will remain faithful to His promise of protection if we remain obedient, and He will keep us safe in all circumstances, though not necessarily from all circumstances.

Have a wonderful day resting under His wings.

Comfort!

Are you feeling the weight of some crushing burden or heartache? Job’s words speak immeasurable comfort in the midst of any trial.

Image

“But he knows where I am going. And when he tests me, I will come out as pure as gold.Job 23:10

First, remember “he knows where I am going.” God is not unaware of your difficulty, nor is he insensitive to the pain you are feeling. He knows. He is intimately acquainted with your situation and your condition.

And if the all-wise, all-powerful, loving God is allowing one of his people to pass through affliction, you can rest assured that there is a purpose behind it. You may not as yet see it; you may not now even agree with it. But rest assured that when he has tried you, you will come out of the trial as refined, pure as gold.

“When He test me”.The source of the fire may be cruel or malicious intentions on the part of others, but ultimately God is the one who is controlling the temperature and allowing you to pass through it. In Job’s case, the Bible reveals that the devil himself was the author of his sufferings; and yet Job correctly affirmed that the trial was coming through the hand of the Lord (2:10).

My friends, rest in this wonderful assurance, that God is at once next to you in your trial and on his throne in heaven. He knows the way you are taking, and is ruling over every detail of your difficulty until you are sanctified to his glory.

Have a wonderful day trusting that when God tests you, you will cone out as pure as gold. Please share this blog with another and share the Love of Jesus with them as well!

God will determine our steps!

God WILL determine our steps. Image

Whether we ask Him to or not. He loves us and wants what’s best for us. I’d much rather work with Him than against Him along the way! I’d much rather learn the easy way than the hard way about just what it is and where it is that He desires to take me. That being said, remember that God knows your heart. He often will use and direct you to things in which you are gifted at or where your natural personality leans. He just may “tweak” how you get there! “We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.” ~Proverbs 16:9

As you meditate upon the desires of your heart you come up with certain plans and ambitions for your life. While these plans do not always result in the perfect plan for your life, you must understand that if your heart is right towards God, this is just one of the ways that God can use to direct your steps.

One of the most important things you can do is to ensure that your heart is right before God. If you have a heart that is right towards God, then God can move on your heart to give you certain desires and ambitions. As you learn to delight in the Lord, God will direct your steps in accordance with the desires that HE has already given to you.

However, if your heart is not right towards God, Satan will try to control your heart with things that are not pleasing towards God. As you start praying for the things that Satan has filled your heart with, God will not direct your steps that direction and you will be disappointed and discouraged that God is not answering your prayers.

Remember that it is God who created your heart, why should you be surprised when God uses the desires of your heart to give you direction regarding the way that you are to go. If you spend your time ensuring that your heart is pure towards HIM, maybe the Lord has already given you the direction that you are to go based upon the desires of your heart. Maybe you already know what the Lord desires you to do and as you pursue that path, God will start opening doors.

What are the desires of your heart? Start pursuing the desires of your heart to see if this is the direction that God has for you. God may have already given you the direction you need to start preparing so HE can start opening the doors in your life. You do not know when God is going to open the door for you to start seeing the fulfillment of the desires of your heart, but you can start preparing now to ensure that you are ready to be used of God as HE has already directed you.

If you would like to see that the desires of your heart are fulfilled, then you must first take the time to ensure that your heart is right towards God. You must daily spend time drawing closer to God so you learn to hear HIS still small voice. As you spend time adding to your knowledge of the ways of God, God will be able to use your heart to start directing your path long before you actually receive the direction to go and serve HIM in a certain way. So give your plans over to God and seek Him in your quest to fulfill your life’s dreams and longings.

Does God really have a plan and purpose for my life?

Does God really have a plan and purpose for my life. One of the most asked questions I get from other believers is  “does God really have a plan and purpose for my life?” Let me assure you that there are no accidents, no coincidences with God. The One who created the universe and everything in it, did not just create us in His image to drift from birth to death with no purpose.  My friends, the universe did not just happen, God created it. You did not just happen, God created you. God did not just create all of this because He was bored, there is a Divine plan and purpose for everything, including your life!

Image

“‘Who are you, Lord?’ I asked.“And the Lord replied, ‘I am Jesus, the one you are persecuting. Now get to your feet! For I have appeared to you to appoint you as my servant and witness. You are to tell the world what you have seen and what I will show you in the future. ~ Acts 26:15-16

The scripture today is God revealing to Paul the plan He had for his life. Most of us will never have a Damascus road experience where God audibly calls down to us and gives us the exact plan for our life. However, as we are surrendered to His will, He will move us, position us, exactly where He wants us. He will open and close doors to guide us where He wants us to be.

As you are surrendered to God and His plan, there are no accidents where you live, work, go to school, or recreate. It is not an accident who your neighbors are or the people that are in your life. God strategically places us where He wants us to be, as His instruments, so we can do our part in fulfilling His master plan.

The key that you need to hear today is you must be surrendered to Him. If we rebel against God, if we don’t listen to Him, if we do it our way and not His way, then His plan for our life will never be fulfilled. That is the choice we have to make each day. To live life our way, or His way.

When we choose our way, we can try, try, and try, and life never seems to work out. We may be successful in one area, but miserable in others. You see, when we do it God’s way, He takes into consideration ALL areas of our life. Our work, finances, relationships, health, service to Him, recreation, He has every area of our life taken care of.

I will be praying for you to fully surrender your life each day to God. Surrendering to Him is the key to finding God’s plan and purpose for your life. TRUST HIM! He will never let you down, He will never disappoint you, just love you and bless you each day. God has a perfect plan and purpose for your life!

WHERE ARE YOU LORD?

When the Lord is silent, you have only one reasonable option: trust Him. Hang in there, and wait on Him. He may be quiet, but He has not quit on you. Even through your greatest adversity, He’s working to develop your character and accomplish His will for your life.

The Lord’s silence during our trials raises two basic questions. First, what in the world is God up to when we are hurting so desperately and need to hear from Him?

God’s silence in no way indicates a lack of divine activity in our lives. We are often guilty of judging our Father’s concern for us by how favorable or unfavorable our circumstances are. When adversity comes, we think, Lord, where are You? Why don’t You do something?

God’s involvement must be measured by two things: the development of our character and the fulfillment of His plan. God uses adversity to accomplish His will in our lives.

So what are we to do in the meantime? The answer to that is simple, though not always easy: Trust God. If you will not trust Him, that means you’ll take matters into your own hands—and then you run the risk of making things worse.

Are you thinking, But you don’t understand my circumstances? If so, you may be right. But think about Joseph, who was sold as a slave and then thrown into prison unfairly. No friends, no family, no church, no freedom, no money, no Bible, no apparent answers from God. Yet he remained faithful—and so did his Heavenly Father, and He will do the same for you and I, as He is no respecter of persons.” Acts 10:34. What He does for oneHe‘ll do for all.

Why me God?

Why me? Why this? Do you ever wonder why? Do you feel guilty for even daring to ask? I think we all have had times when the loss was so great in our lives that we cried, not upon our pillow in a quiet voice in the silence of our darkened bedroom. No we screamed it with all the angst and heartache and brokenness our voice could muster in the public streets for all the world to see. At times, our why was resolved with the still small voice of God and a touch of warmth from the Comforter pouring Himself out upon us. Other times, our felt alone, abandoned. The psalmist did the same. Prophets have cried out. Kings. Our Lord cried out on the cross.

Image

“My God, My God, why have You forsaken me? Why are You so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning? O my God, I cry in the daytime, but You do not hear; and in the night season, and am not silent. BUT You are holy, Enthroned in the praises of Israel.”~ Psalm 22:1-3.

It’s odd that we, who think our God does not hear us in the darkness of our nights and the bright light of our grief and pain, continue to cry out. If it were so futile, if God was so deaf, if God was so far away, why would we bother? Because deep in the recesses of our tribulation, emptiness and agony, we know that God is God and God is steadfast and sure. We may question our circumstances, our losses, our trials–but we know that ultimately our answers are in God. And we cry out in search of them. We may not feel our God hears, but all scripture denounces that lie of Satan. We may not think God is present, but Jesus, our King, says differently. “Lo, I am with you always, even to the ends of the world.”

With every “why” I’ve ever voiced, my God’s assurance has answered. With every darkness I’ve ever encountered, God pierces with Light and gives me faith to dispel the doubts of my human fraility. So when you wonder why, remember we may never know all the answers. We have the Answer–Jesus is Lord of all and has overcome the world.

Facing Obstacles in Life!

Image

HOW WE RESPOND TO THESE LIFE-CHANGING OBSTACLES IS THE CRITICAL ISSUE FOR ALL OF US IN OUR WALK WITH THE LORD. These are sentinel moments in a person’s life that can shape and determine the balance of your days on this earth. You can either allow the obstacles in your life to keep you from fulfilling your purpose of serving and glorifying God with your life, robbing you of the peace, joy and abundance this life can offer, or you can move forward in HIS strength past that obstacle and live in victory.

At one time or another, we all face obstacles that seem insurmountable. The question is, How will we respond? Some people try to push through or manipulate their way around the barriers, while others wallow in hopelessness and give up in defeat. But the Lord wants us to trust Him to remove each impediment.

Every obstacle that stands between us and God’s purpose is subject to His supernatural power. Most of us would readily agree that nothing is too difficult for the Lord, but fear and worry reveal our doubts. By focusing on the problem, we allow it to grow and block our view of almighty God.

Why did God allow what has happened in your life? I wish I had those answers but I don’t. But I can tell you that God will give us the strength to overcome whatever obstacles life can throw at us and still know His joy and peace in the midst of the storms of life! Obstacles are one way that God strengthens our faith. When you are confused and cannot see how He could work out your situation, do not walk away in defeat and miss His blessing. He wants to teach you His way of obedience, trust, and courage. Believe Him; He always keeps His promises.

I will be praying for you today. Praying that you will not allow the life-changing obstacles we all face in this life keep you from God’s blessings and fulfilling your purpose to serve and glorify Him with your life. God has a perfect plan and purpose for your life.
