Matthew 10:27 “What I tell you now, shout abroad when daybreak comes. What I whisper in your ear, shout from the housetops for all to hear!”
You have heard the saying; it is always darkest before the dawn. This saying is equally true when it comes to preparing your life message. Your life message comes as a result of those dark and trying times. David told us “Even when I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. David understood that the valley was a part of his walk with God. God is with you during the time of darkness just as HE is with you on the mountaintop. Granted you would prefer that you just stay on the mountaintop. Nonetheless, it is during the time of darkness that God is able to test you and prove you. God is able to prove to the world that you have learned the lessons to trust in HIM. Job went through a great trial and it was at the end of the trial that his relationship with God grew because of a conversation he had with God. It is during your time of trial that you are most willing to take the time to hear God’s voice. Hearing God’s voice will change your life. When you hear God’s voice, you will either be like Jonah who ran away, or you will be like Elijah who obeyed and saw God work mightily through him. Those who you share your life message with will not have seen the time of darkness where God spoke with you, but the impact of your going through the trial will still affect them. It does not matter how much you hate them, it is during the difficult times that God reveals HIMSELF to you. Rather than complain when God brings difficult times into your life, you should rejoice and thank God that HE is preparing a life message in you. You may think that God has already taken you through enough trials. It is not easy to go through a trial. It is often a lonely time in which you feel that your life has no purpose. However, it is during this time that you are ready to hear the still small voice of God. If you do not stop focusing on yourself during your time of darkness, God will have to leave you in the trial longer to show you the truth HE desires you to learn. When you see that you are going through a trial, it is time that you change your perspective from focusing on yourself and your problems to focusing on God and what HE is trying to teach you through this. You must add virtue to your life. You must put on the mind of God. Allow God to guide you. Now you will be ready to hear and obey God.
